Meet My Loyal Sidekick: The Story of Zuzu Petals

This is the exact vision I have for when I arrive in heaven...

I would love to introduce you to my little sidekick 🐶

Gosh I love this girl.

We rescued Zuzu in May of 2006. She was about 6 months old and a nervous wreck (sitting in a puddle of her own pee.) We learned she had a rough start to life, separated from her mother too soon, then apparently mistreated by humans. Obviously she didn’t trust anyone very well 😢

But we saw her and knew we could give her a good life. So home she came 🚗

She instantly fit in, with our older dog Satchel, plus 4 cats. She was just so happy to be safe ❤️

For 15 years she has barely left my side, and despite having lost her hearing and most of her eyesight, plus has pretty significant arthritis in her hips- she is a total spitfire.
