Do you ever worry about the message it sends when you spoil your children with an abundance of Christmas gifts?? 🎁
I know I do, and I am determined to try not to raise greedy or ungrateful kiddos.
This year, we are following the four gift rule for Christmas 🎅🏼 It’s a simple way to teach your children that they can’t have everything they want. Simply limit the gifts you buy them to these four categories:
1. Something they want
2. Something they need
3. Something to wear
4. Something to read
And maybe one gift from Santa (ok that’s five gifts 😉)
Be sure to discuss the gift categories well in advance so your kids are prepared. If your child likes to make a wish list for you, ask that they write down “options” that fit into these categories. Keep one or two of the gifts a surprise however, that’s the best part!
I have created gift tags to make things easier for you this holiday. I am offering these as a free gift from me to you. Check out our gift tags by clicking here. This is a digital file purchase. Once you checkout you will receive a download of the gift tags. You can then print on your home printer as many times as you would like.
I truly hope that this helps make your holidays more impactful for you and your family.
