I have to admit I’m kind of blown away by the response I’ve gotten with my Positivity T-shirts.

When you are a small business owner, trying to grow, often your customers are your friends and family. Which makes you so grateful, but it also makes you wonder if they’re buying your stuff just to be nice, and because they like you. Not because they are dying to have your goods.

This thought is a common “scratch on my record“ I’ve had to work on smoothing out with my business coach for years. As she would say “Annie, no one HAS to buy your products, they buy it because they want to!”

Last spring I decided to try branching out into different product types, taking my best selling prints and cards and turning them into T-shirts and tote bags. I never imagined they would become my new best selling products, and growing!

Now I am even starting to spot people wearing my shirts at the grocery store, around town and on social media... customers that don’t even know me!

This grassroots kind of marketing has allowed me to have my shirts be purchased for five schools, so far 😉 Elementary and middle school teachers and staff are wearing them as a sign of unity to help spread the message of "Be Kind, Smile, Pass it on" to their students.

I can’t even describe to you how that makes me feel. Just complete warmth in my heart 💛

My goal for many years to come is to keep moving my business in this direction. There’s truly nothing more important to me (and it seems like a lot of other parents and teachers) than raising my three sons to be kind, empathetic adults. Period.
